The diamond’s name is derived from the Greek word adamas, meaning ‘invincible’, which refers to the fact that it is the hardest known mineral and is impervious to scratching. As well as being colourless, diamonds can be white, black, yellow, red, pink, orange, brown and green. According to the Old Testament, diamonds appeared in the breastplate of the Jewish High Priest.
Known as the ‘King of the crystals’, the diamond is a stone of great purity that links us with the divine and removes any obstacles that lie before us on our pathway to enlightenment. Diamond is furthermore excellent for cleansing negativity from the aura.
